This demonstration was a live, on the fly demonstration with model Andree De Villers. I began by building the architecture of the jeans using blue Mehron paint.

I am using two different tones of whites: bright white, a grey-white and then a darker, thinned grey for a drop shadows. I create the torn jeans threads using # 1 and #3 line brushes and the mid white. Once the mid white tears are roughly painted on, I use the bright white to paint over the mid white in order to create the illusion of threads being under and over one another. Finally I use the dark grey to paint drop shadows

Using a white brush I paint the white creases on with sharp lines and then I follow using the airbrush to soften them up.
