1 WEEK COURSE
40 Hours
Eight hours per day.
10am-6pm approx.
Monday to Friday.
The goals of the first week are to have you completely comfortable in the studio and with the equipment in the studio. To have you understand what most of the items in the studio are, what they do and why, and when to use them as well as when not to. By the end of the week, you will be able to render lettering cleanly and precisely. You also learn about the airbrushing world and who’s who, and the history of airbrushing. This is so you have a firm understanding of where you fit in the context of what’s out there in the world and to open your eyes to what’s out there. By the end of the first week, you will say something like: ” wow, that flew by…amazing”.

2 WEEK COURSE

The second week is focused on strengthening your airbrushing skills and on teaching you different fonts, tricks and techniques. You will begin working on script lettering, color theories and learn about surfaces and using the right materials for the right surfaces. By the end of the second week, you will say ” wow, that week flew by, it’s a good thing that I have a few more weeks left “.

The third week will really open your eyes to new ideas and possibilities. You will be introduced to airbrushing concepts, savvy crafts and merchandising like airbrushing clocks and cellphones, clothing and furniture. You will airbrush on metal and on canvas and focus on the type and style of airbrushing that you are interested in. You will begin to learn about how to produce jaw-dropping, heart popping, advanced airbrushed effects. By the end of the third week, you will say “this is so awesome, it’s a good thing I have another couple of weeks left “.

The fourth week is where we can really get into all sorts of topics that were only briefly explained or practiced such as producing effects such as real fire and jaw dropping chrome and creating real feathers and hair. The goal of the fourth week is to continue producing portfolio pieces by using the airbrushing technique that you’re comfortable using and doing. This fourth week allows for teaching you about the business of airbrushing and how to make money with the airbrush, as well as about websites and marketing and more. By the end of the fourth week, you will say “I cannot believe just how much I have learned and and how well I have done and yet how much there still is to do and to learn”.
