The History:
Airbrushing School was started in Toronto, Canada, in June 2005, by Canadian-Israeli airbrush artist – Joshua. Joshua has taught tens of students since he began teaching, with many students staying in Toronto for weeks at a time, and a few coming into Toronto to learn from as far away as Europe and the Middle East.
The Teacher:
Joshua is a self-taught airbrushing artist who began airbrushing art for paying clients in the early 1990′s, while attending High School in downtown Toronto. Instead of going to College after completing High School, Joshua continued pursuing a freelance artistic career, airbrushing items for local bands, students and car enthusiasts. Since then, Joshua has airbrushed art onto a mind boggling array of items in both Canada and abroad, for clients of all shapes and types, over his two-decades long career. Today, his clientele spans the who’s who of brand name clients, such as: Warner Brothers Home Entertainment, Jagermeister, Remy Martin, MTV, West49, Converse Shoes, and many others. Joshua’s art has been seen by millions of viewers on MTV, MTV2, the Jon Dore Comedy show, The Score TV, and in music videos.
So what’s the learning atmosphere like?
Joshua was raised in a very open-minded, forgiving, multicultural environment in downtown Toronto, and so by nature he is very comfortable with strangers of all backgrounds and walks of life. He is one of those easy-going kinds of guys that makes friends everywhere that he goes. If you are nice to him, he will be nice to you, regardless of your religion, ethnicity, background, lifestyle, race, creed or color. What is important is your desire to learn, to work hard, and to have fun.
